Promens has experienced an increased interest from the market towards PET solutions.
The interest for replacing glass by PET is seen as a positive sign from Promens' customers. PET is a strong competitor towards glass for numerous applications.
Specifically, Promens has introduced a new standard 550ml PET wide-mouth jar on the Scandinavian market in close co-operation with one of the leading honey producers in Denmark.
Several side effects arise from this change:
- no risk of broken glass in the production.
- Significantly reduced noise level at customer site.
- about 85% weight reduction allows reduction in freight costs.
- increasing number of jars per pallet reduces CO2 foot print.
- no more heavy lifting if manually handled.
